Haloperidol

[CAS Number 52-86-8] Haloperidol, also known by its brand name Haldol, is a phenylbutylpiperadine derivative and conventional antipsychotic. It is a dopamine (D2) receptor antagonist used to treat acute to chronic psychosis. Haloperidol can also be used to help treat Tourette syndrome tics, mania in bipolar disorder, and hallucinations caused by alcohol withdrawal. Haloperidol is available as reference material (bulk powder and/or solution) and as calibrated, Ready-to-Use, certified reference material (CRM). This product is designed for qualitative and quantitative protocols and can be used for forensic, toxicology, research, and other chemical/biochemical analytical applications.
