Dextromethorphan

[CAS Number 125-71-3] Dextromethorphan is a synthetic, dextrorotary opiate analgesic. Unlike other morphine derivatives, Dextromethorphan is devoid of any analgesic or addictive property. It is primarily used as a cough suppressant in over-the-counter cough medicine such as NyQuil and Robitussin. However, it is used recreationally due to its hallucinogenic properties when consumed in excess. Dextromethorphan is available as reference material (bulk powder and/or solution) and as calibrated, Ready-to-Use, certified reference material (CRM). This product is designed for qualitative and quantitative protocols and can be used for forensic, toxicology, research, and other chemical/biochemical analytical applications.
